Now, Jamie Kermond has been sent home after testing positive to a metabolite cocaine, which is prohibited under Australian and world anti-doping laws.
“He basically said he took it at a party and that it’s got nothing to do with his sport, but that’s not how the World Doping Authority looks at these things,” Daniels said.
“So he’s not allowed to compete, he’s been kicked off the team and it puts the rest of the show jumping team in jeopardy because now they’re one guy short and they don’t have a reserve.
“He’s screwed things up for a lot of people.”
