For a lot of us, being 35 years old doesn’t necessarily spell the end of a career, but for AFL players it most certainly can.
Fremantle Docker David Mundy may be one of the ‘old bulls’ of the club, but it’s his experience that makes him a champion.
As coach Justin Longmuir said regarding Mundy’s re-signing last year, not only had he proven that he’s got some good footy in him still, “what he brings off the field is just as important.”
Despite graduating with an honours degree in Marine Science earlier this year, Clairsy asked Mundy if he’d ever considered himself a bit of a Dennis Cometti and maybe try his hand at calling the footy.
“There might be some plans this weekend,” secret squirrel Mundy said before going into further detail.
