Bindi Irwin has paid a heartfelt tribute to her late father Steve on what would have been his 60th birthday.
“Happy Birthday to the greatest dad and Wildlife Warrior,” she wrote alongside a throwback photo with her dad.
“Today I’ll watch The Crocodile Hunter with Grace Warrior and share stories about her incredible Grandpa Crocodile. I love you with all my heart. Your legacy lives on.”

The world seemed to stop at the news of Irwin’s passing in 2006 at just 44 years of age after he was impaled in the chest by a stingray at the Great Barrier Reef.
“My dad would have been the best grandfather,” Bindi told The Bump last year just before she and husband Chandler Powell welcomed Grace Warrior Irwin Powell on March 25, 2021 — the couple’s first wedding anniversary.
“I always joke that if he was still here, we’d never see our baby because he’d take her on all kinds of adventures! I want to make sure our baby girl gets to know my dad and thankfully, we have many documentaries and photos we can share with her. I think she’ll love getting to watch footage of Dad working with all kinds of animals and learning about his legacy.”
