Uber passengers have left behind a diverse collection of items, including a taxidermy cat, a 2004 Olympic gold medal, and *ahem* sex toys, according to the ride-sharing company’s seventh annual Lost and Found Index.

It was revealed that one unfortunate Harry Styles fan left their concert ticket behind (it remains unclear if they made it to the show or were on their way there or back) and many fiancés and newlyweds have left behind wedding dresses, marriage certificates, and even wedding rings.

The index also revealed that while Brissie passengers were the most organised with the fewest items left behind, the same couldn’t be said for Perth, which topped the list for the second year in a row as Australia’s most forgetful.

Unsurprisingly, the most common hour for losing items in Ubers is around 1am.

How to retrieve lost items

Uber has also reminded us how to retrieve your lost jockstrap items:

  • Tap ‘Your Trips’ and select the trip where you left something
  • Scroll down and tap ‘Find lost item’
  • Tap ‘Contact driver about a lost item’
  • Scroll down and enter the phone number you would like to be contacted at. Tap submit.

Lost your phone?

  • Enter a friend’s phone number instead (you can do this by logging into your account on a computer, or using a friend’s phone).
  • Your phone will ring and connect you directly with your driver’s mobile number.
  • If your driver picks up and confirms that your item has been found, co-ordinate a mutually convenient time and place to meet for its return to you.
  • If your driver doesn’t pick up, leave a detailed voicemail describing your item and the best way to contact you.

If you can’t find a suitable to meet up with the driver, you can use Uber’s same-day delivery service Uber Package to retrieve the item.
