Will Smith has punched Chris Rock and yelled “keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth” in front of the audience during the 94th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Chris Rock joked, “Jada, I love you. GI Jane 2, can’t wait to see you,” referring to Jada Pinkett’s shaved head.
At first, Smith smirked at the joke while Pinkett rolled her eyes.
However, moments later, Smith walked up on stage and hit Rock before returning to his seat.
“Will Smith just smacked the s*** out of me,” said Rock.
Smith is then heard yelling: “Keep my wife’s name out your f***ing mouth,” to which Rock responded: “Wow… dude. It was a GI Jane joke.”
“Keep my wife’s name out your f***ing mouth,” Smith yells again.
It’s understood that Pinkett has alopecia and had spent some time documenting her journey with the condition that causes hair loss.
