If 10cc’s ‘I’m Not In Love’ is anything, it’s enduring.

Not only has it been played more than five million time on radio since it’s 1975 release, it’s also captured a younger audience after featuring in movies such as Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason and, more recently, the very first opening scene in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

Guns ‘n’ Roses frontman Axl Rose once said: ‘that song messes with my life, man it’s one of my favourite songs of all time.’

Since its formation in 1972, 10cc has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and, along with ‘I’m Not In Love’, an absolute string of hits like ‘The Things We Do For Love’, ‘Rubber Bullets’, the unofficial cricket anthem ‘Dreadlock Holiday’, ‘Donna’, ‘The Wall Street’, ‘Art For Art’s Sake’, ‘People In Love’, ‘Good Morning Judge’ and ‘Life Is A Minestrone’.

Also enduring is the band’s only constant member and hit songwriting machine, Graham Gouldman.

Clairsy & Lisa spoke to Gouldman ahead of 10cc’s ‘The Ultimate Greatest Hits’ tour celebrating 50 years at Perth’s Astor Theatre on July 2.
