There aren’t too many bands that all rock fans can agree on, but Foo Fighters are probably the closest thing we have. Show us a person who doesn’t love Dave Grohl, and we’ll show you a damn liar!

So when Foo Fighters announce that they’re coming to Australia, just about everybody is excited – even more exciting that it’s literally happening next week.

But it’s not the type of tour you might expect from the Rock & Roll Hall Of Famers.

The band has announced that their upcoming Aussie tour will include one, solitary date.

And what’s more, the show will not be happening in your to-be-expected capital cities. It’s happening next Friday night in Geelong.

Le sigh.

The announcement is part of the Victorian Government’s ALWAYS LIVE music event, celebrating Melbourne’s reputation as the live music capital of Australia, following two years of a near-crippled music scene in the state thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic and its ongoing restrictions.

The Foos will be supported by Melburnian pub rock/punks Amyl & The Sniffers and Melbourne punk icons The Meanies.

Tickets for the show go on sale via Frontier Touring on Friday 25th February at 12pm AEDT and are expected to be snapped up quickly.
