Carol Peletier, portrayed by Melissa McBride, is quite easily one of the best characters in TV history.

Carol is a complex and resilient character in the series The Walking Dead. She starts the series as a meek and abused wife, but as the apocalypse unfolds, she undergoes a remarkable transformation. She evolves into one of the most resourceful and adaptable survivors in the group.

Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus are set to reunite, as McBride is confirmed to join the cast of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon for its second season, reprising her role as Carol.

This announcement was made during AMC’s presentation at New York Comic Con. McBride’s return to the series will see her in a regular role for the upcoming second season, titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol.

The first season of  The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will conclude on October 15, streaming in Australia on Stan, with McBride set to make an appearance in the finale.

Season 2 is currently in production and is expected to premiere in 2024.
