An earlier version of a story reported on 96FM on 11 August 2022 regarding a pay raise for Qantas aircraft engineers made it appear that the Union was seeking up to a 20% pay rise over four years.
To clarify, as at 11 August 2022, Australian Licenced Aircraft Engineers Association’s (ALAEA) latest claim represents 3% per year since the last pay rise for engineers at Qantas at a time of over 6% CPI.
