A new day and a new scam is doing the rounds, this time over Apple’s iCloud service.

In a nutshell, Apple has nearly completed its partial shutdown of its free (but outdated) photo storage service ‘My Photo Stream’ in favour of iCloud Photos, which has various tiers of storage, including paid. Prices start around $1.49 a month for 50 GB of storage, $4.49 for 200GB and $14.99 for 2 TB of storage.

Not long after Apple’s announcement, the scammers were all over it.

In the space of about two hours over the weekend, Lisa said she was emailed twice by ‘iCloud Customer Support’.

They were not iCloud Customer Support.
