Despite a wobbly first three quarters, the Fremantle Dockers ran riot in the last, running away with a 34-point win over GWS at Optus Stadium.

“We just wanted to keep it close and interesting,” David Mundy told Clairsy & Lisa on Wednesday.

Always considering the fans, this guy.

Mundy was super chatty, breaking down the game before being asked about Braydon Preuss elbowing him in the back of the head.

Preuss had just taken a mark when he swung his bent arm backwards in a bid to get Mundy to release him. A move that got Preuss a one-match ban.

“He actually apologised to me about four or five times throughout the game after that,” he said of Preuss. “I think he had a red moment and really regretted it afterwards.”

Which honestly sounds like something Mundy would do.

“Sometimes these things happen,” he said. “We all make mistakes.”
